PROJECT COMPLETE

Thank you to everyone that got involved with Project Stacee!! I am still waiting to hear from one artist that got into an accident this week. Their art will be added to the project this week if I hear from them. I thought it would be fair to give an artist with the use of only one arm an extra day. I hope no one minds. To make it more fair, I'll accept any new art submissions until midnight tomorrow, Friday, October 3.

Instructions for judges will be sent out this weekend. The three best artworks will be announced on Friday, October 17, 2008. Thanks again to everyone!
Stacee, Age 8ABOUT STACEE

The above photo is a picture of Stacee. Stacee was only 8 years old when she and her mother tragically died on October 17, 1999. The photo was taken shortly before their deaths. Stacee would have been 17 years old this year.

A friend of mine recently contacted me with Stacee's story, and she told me that
Stacee's grandmother only has this single photo of Stacee. As you can see, the image is badly damaged.
PROJECT OBJECTIVE

The objective of this project is to invite artists to either restore the photo or use it as a reference to create art work in any medium for Stacee's grandmother and the rest of their family.

Stacee's grandmother has approved this project, and she's given me permission to allow project participants to use the photo.
The photo is NOT a stock image! It is only to be used in the context of this project.
You may use this stamp to promote Project Stacee.
Thank you!
