As Promised: Gallery Folder Limit

Did you know that there's a limit to the amount of deviations that you can put into your gallery folders? There is, but don't worry; it took me over 4 years worth of stock photos to reach this limit! I took a poll, and it seems that most people didn't know this...

I accidentally reached the limit in my unrestricted stock folder, and dA simply wouldn't allow me to put any more deviations there. Not knowing why I couldn't add more deviations to that folder, I wrote to LawrenceDeDark to ask about it. He kindly looked into this for me. (Thanks, Lawrence!) The response: First I was asked to count how many deviations were in that folder. After counting up all 5,346 of them and reporting that back to LDD, I was advised to create a second unrestricted stock folder. Apparently even dA's admin hadn't known of this limit before.

That's a huge amount of space that dA offers! Each of us can have up to 250 folders in a gallery. If each folder can hold 5,346 deviations, then this means that deviantART allows a whopping 1,336,500 deviations in all of your combined folders! Now you know.

These are just a few of my favorite pieces of art in which my stock was used. I'm always so amazed by all the different ways that artists are able to create such magic with my simple photos!
