CONTEST RULES:
1. Contest entries (obviously) must have a high fantasy or a scifi theme, and at least one of my stock images should be featured in your creation. (Other stockers' photos may be used as well, but =FantasyStock's stockart should definitely stand out. All entries must also be in compliance with each stocker's individual rules.)

2. Entries must be new. No entry will be accepted if it was submitted before the 1st of July, 2006.

3. Entries are due via [note] with the subject title "Contest Entry" by Monday, the 31st of July. (NO entries will be accepted after that date! Entries MUST be submitted with a LINK to your entry in your DA gallery. If a link is not included, your entry will be ignored.) FAQ #55: How do I purchase a subscription for a friend? Entries that are posted for me to see in any other way than a [note] may be unintentionally disregarded or unseen.

4. Only one (1) entry per deviant will be accepted. (Make sure your entry is exactly how you think it should be before you submit!)

5. All contest entries will be judged within 2 weeks after the end of the contest. Winners will be announced by Friday, August 11th, 2006. (See below for Judging Guidelines.)

6. Three winners will be chosen. First place, second place, and a third place. Each winner will receive a few generously donated prizes. (See below for Prize Awards.)

7. Once an entry is submitted and accepted into the contest, the thumbnail will be placed in my journal shoutboard. [link] (This will count as your one and only entry that you are allowed.)

8. Entries' descriptions must state that this entry is for this contest with a link back to the contest rules here [link] as a sign that you have officially entered this piece of art in this contest.

9. What is "High Fantasy" or "Sci Fi" art? High fantasy examples are unicorns, faeries, mythical places, magic, elves, and all sorts of myth and heroes. Scifi (science fiction) art examples are spaceships, futuristic robots, androids, and even post-apocalyptic landscapes, or mutated superheroes with powers. There's also art that is in between these two things, like vampires in modern day society, or mermaids that have cyborg implants. You are encouraged to read into these themes however you want and to be creative. Most of all, have fun!


RESTRICTIONS:
1. Please refrain from the use of full nudity or gore. It needs to be suitable for my younger visitors to view. Please no graphic "Mature" content. Thanks!

2. Almost any visual medium of art is ok as long as my stock is used. Photomanipulation, digital paintings, pencil sketches, traditional paintings, etc. will be accepted as long as it has something to do with Fantasy, SciFi, and my stock. Remember, judging will be partly based on your creativity and your ability to adhere to the themes!

3. Entries that are not linked in a [note] to FantasyStock by the due date will be ignored. FAQ #55: How do I purchase a subscription for a friend? No time extensions will be granted for any reasons. All entries must be received by Monday, July 31, 2006.

4. Entries must be YOUR OWN WORK! You may not enter someone else's art into this contest. No screenshots from LotR with one of my stock cleverly stuck in. I'd love to see your ORIGINAL art only!!


JUDGING GUIDELINES:
1. There will be a panel of judges to determine the best entries out of a top few that I'll pick after the contest is over. (Note: Judges may NOT enter the contest.)

2. Entries will be judged on how well they portray the theme through creativity, originality, and aesthetic quality. (Entries should be of a high fantasy or science fiction genre. - Or both.)

3. Entries, which do not follow the rules and guidelines, will be disqualified. (Please, please remember to adhere to all other stock suppliers' official rules as well as mine!!)

4. If a disqualified entry is fixed to meet the rules of this contest, the entry may be re-submitted all over again. (Start a new note, and follow the rules/guidelines. Explain that it's your disqualification's fix.)

5. Entries may be added to my Favorites for the effort, but this does not in any way suggest that it's a winning vote. (FantasyStock's comments on entries will not be critiques. There will be no hints from me! That just wouldn't be fair.)

6. Everyone's entry will also be judged upon whether or not the above contest rules have been followed.

7. All entries will be judged within two weeks after the end of the contest. (Winners will be announced by Friday, August 11th, 2006.)

8. It dosn't matter how new you are to DA, or how popular you are! This is a fair contest, and entries will be judged according to the rules, not your popularity!
